What it does

In plain words.

Bring your online shop and Square together with connected products, stock, customers, orders and refunds. Import a Square catalogue or send selected store products across, accept Square payments online and let customers see their Square Loyalty rewards through your store.

Who it is for

A good fit for your shop?

  • Retailers already using Square at the counter
  • Stores starting online from an existing Square catalogue
  • Businesses joining online payments and Square Loyalty

What you get

Keep your shop and Square in step

Catalogue sync in both directions

Send selected products and variations with SKUs, categories, images and prices, or import Square items into your store. Choose whether Square-side changes update linked products.

Choose how stock flows

Keep your store as stock master or enable two-way stock. Sales and restocks use adjustments in two-way mode, with incoming Square counts applied to your store.

Bring Square orders into your store

Import Square POS, Online and invoice orders with payment and customer details. Select location rules and how to handle custom-amount sales, missing products and returns.

Online Square payments

Offer on-site payment fields or hosted checkout. Cards, gift cards and supported wallets and payment methods are available according to Square, currency and device eligibility.

Customers and refunds connected

Map customers to the Square directory, send store refunds to Square and reflect Square refunds in your store's payment records.

Square Loyalty on your website

Let customers see phone-linked Square Loyalty balances and rewards in their store account. Allow enrolment and award eligible order points, with automatic retries for failed accrual requests.

In practice

A counter sale and a website sale share the stock story

In two-way mode, store orders send stock adjustments to Square, while Square inventory counts come back to the store. The plugin distinguishes sales and returns from manual stock counts and avoids sending an incoming Square change straight back again. Choose the mode that matches how your team manages stock.

In practice

Bring the rewards programme onto your website

Customers can see their phone-linked Square Loyalty balance in an account Rewards page or a balance widget. Eligible orders can earn points, including guest orders matched by phone number. Imported Square orders are skipped to avoid awarding points again. An active Square Loyalty programme is required.

How it works

Start with one useful test.

  1. Connect and choose a location

Connect the Square account through the configured OAuth flow or your own access token, then select the store's Square location.

  2. Set your sync rules

Choose products, catalogue direction, stock mode and order options. Push your catalogue or import the items already held in Square.

  3. Watch the work, not every update

Enable payments and optional Square Loyalty, review the sync log and let configured background jobs handle updates and retries.

Before you buy

Requirements.

These details describe the Botble edition. Check the platform, services and equipment your shop uses.

  • Botble and WooCommerce use separate native packages. Choose the edition for your store and check its requirements below.
  • The Botble edition requires Botble 7 and PHP 8.2 or later, with Ecommerce active.
  • A Square account and location matching your store's currency are required.
  • On-site wallets and alternative payment methods depend on Square eligibility; Apple Pay requires domain registration.
  • Configure background sync. Square processing fees, hardware and any Square Loyalty subscription are separate.

Requirements

Native WooCommerce edition.

  • Plugin header minimum: WordPress 6.5+, PHP 8.1+ and active WooCommerce (no numeric minimum is declared in this package header).
  • Use WordPress and PHP versions that meet the requirements of both this plugin and your installed WooCommerce version.
  • Your own Square account, supported location and matching store currency are required. Wallets, ACH, gift cards, terminal use and Square Loyalty depend on account, region and currency eligibility. Provider fees and hardware are separate.
  • Use transactional InnoDB storage and working WordPress cron. Measured items need the separate All Weighted Products owner and an explicit pack/gram mapping; never send grams as whole-item counts.

Getting started

  1. Choose the connection environment and location, then review which catalogue, customer, order and inventory rules should run.
  2. Map one ordinary product or explicitly configured measured pack and inspect the intended stock and price direction before enabling sync.
  3. Test the intended payment/import/refund flow with the authorised environment. Reconcile an uncertain result before creating another payment or refund.

Perpetual licences include 12 months of updates and support. After that, extend them a year at a time for £60 a year, whenever you like, even before the current year ends. Monthly and yearly plans always include updates and support.

  • Monthly is term use: the plugin, its updates and support for each month you pay for.
  • Yearly is the same term use paid in advance, at ten months' price for twelve months.
  • A perpetual licence is yours to keep. It includes 12 months of updates and support; afterwards you can carry on using every version you were entitled to, and extend updates and support a year at a time at the support rate (half the standard yearly price) whenever you want them.
  • One licence covers one live site and its linked staging site. Another live site needs another licence.
  • Buy more than one perpetual licence in the same checkout and the highest-priced plugin is charged in full, with 20% off each additional distinct plugin, worked out on the prices shown (launch prices while the offer runs).
  • Extend support for several perpetual licences together and the highest-priced extension is charged in full, with 20% off each additional one. Extending early adds a year to the end of your current cover; nothing renews automatically.
  • Prices include applicable VAT/sales tax and the support stated for your plan. GBP is the reference currency. Marketplace accounts, hosting, hardware and external API fees are separate. We add no payment processing surcharge.

Questions

Useful details before you choose.

The workflow, its limits and what is separate.

Still need a hand?
Can I start with the products already in Square?

Yes. Import Square items with their variations, SKUs, prices, categories, images and stock, individually or in bulk. You can then choose whether later Square changes update the linked store products.

Does stock always sync both ways?

You choose. The default treats your store as the stock master. Two-way mode also brings Square counts back and sends store sales and restocks as adjustments rather than replacing stock with a count.

Which payment methods can customers use?

Cards and Square gift cards are supported alongside eligible Apple Pay, Google Pay, Afterpay or Clearpay, Cash App Pay and ACH. Availability depends on country, currency, Square account and device; ACH and Cash App Pay are USD-specific in this release.
