What it does

In plain words.

Give customers a clear way to choose which optional emails they receive. Add a branded preference link, organise messages by type and manage opt-outs from your store, while keeping essential order and account messages available under your chosen settings.

Who it is for

A good fit for your shop?

  • Shops sending basket reminders alongside order updates
  • Retailers offering newsletters, review requests and stock alerts
  • Teams handling unsubscribe requests received by email or phone

What you get

Email choices customers can control

A clear preference centre

Customers follow a link in their email to choose which optional message types to stop. Signed-in customers can also manage their choices from their account.

Separate offers from stock alerts

Separate basket reminders, offers, review requests, stock alerts and other updates. Rename categories and decide which customers can unsubscribe from.

Put the preference link in your footer

Set the wording, link colour, background and shop address. Optional messages show an unsubscribe link; essential messages can show a manage-preferences link.

Mail-app unsubscribe support

Add one-click unsubscribe headers for compatible email apps. Customers can stop an optional email type through their mail app's own unsubscribe action.

Manage customer opt-outs in one list

Add an address by hand, choose several email types and record a note. A single entry keeps each person's preferences together for your store team.

See why an email was stopped

Review email activity by recipient, category and suppression reason. Override the category of individual templates when your store needs a different rule.

In practice

Keep the stock alert. Stop the basket reminder.

Someone may want stock alerts while finding basket reminders unhelpful. Category preferences let them make that choice. The link preselects the type of email they came from, and the page explains the essential messages your shop still needs to send. Changes happen when they press Save.

In practice

Handle requests your team receives directly

When a customer asks your team to stop messages, add their address to the no-email list, choose the categories and record a note. Template overrides let you correct automatic classification. A staff-managed full block can also stop essential customer messages; internal store notifications remain separate.

How it works

Start with one useful test.

  1. Choose your email rules

Review the message categories, choose which are optional and set a footer that matches your shop.

  2. Let customers choose by category

Customers open the preference link, select the optional emails they want to stop and save their choices.

  3. Apply the choice before sending

The plugin filters opted-out recipients before sending and records suppressed messages for your team to review.

Requirements.

These details describe the Botble edition. Check the platform, services and equipment your shop uses.

  • Botble and WooCommerce use separate native packages. Choose the edition for your store and check its requirements below.
  • The Botble edition requires Botble CMS 7.3.0 or later.
  • Works with messages sent through the website's email system; review category settings for your installed plugins.

Requirements

Native WooCommerce edition.

  • Plugin header minimum: WordPress 6.5+, PHP 8.1+ and active WooCommerce (no numeric minimum is declared in this package header).
  • Use WordPress and PHP versions that meet the requirements of both this plugin and your installed WooCommerce version.
  • PHP Mbstring and OpenSSL are needed for message encoding and protected preference links; use transactional InnoDB storage.
  • Applies to messages sent through the site’s WordPress mail path. Delivery still needs the host’s configured mail service. Scheduled queue work needs working WordPress cron.

Getting started

  1. Open All Unsubscribe and review categories, template classification and any staff no-email entries before changing optional messages.
  2. Use an owned test customer to check My Account preferences and a genuine signed manage link; opening a link must not itself change the choice.
  3. Send an intended test message through the real site mail path, confirm the expected category/suppression, and review the activity-retention setting.

Perpetual licences include 12 months of updates and support. After that, extend them a year at a time for £25 a year, whenever you like, even before the current year ends. Monthly and yearly plans always include updates and support.

  • Monthly is term use: the plugin, its updates and support for each month you pay for.
  • Yearly is the same term use paid in advance, at ten months' price for twelve months.
  • A perpetual licence is yours to keep. It includes 12 months of updates and support; afterwards you can carry on using every version you were entitled to, and extend updates and support a year at a time at the support rate (half the standard yearly price) whenever you want them.
  • One licence covers one live site and its linked staging site. Another live site needs another licence.
  • Buy more than one perpetual licence in the same checkout and the highest-priced plugin is charged in full, with 20% off each additional distinct plugin, worked out on the prices shown (launch prices while the offer runs).
  • Extend support for several perpetual licences together and the highest-priced extension is charged in full, with 20% off each additional one. Extending early adds a year to the end of your current cover; nothing renews automatically.
  • Prices include applicable VAT/sales tax and the support stated for your plan. GBP is the reference currency. Marketplace accounts, hosting, hardware and external API fees are separate. We add no payment processing surcharge.

Questions

Useful details before you choose.

The workflow, its limits and what is separate.

Still need a hand?
Can customers stop marketing emails but keep order updates?

Yes. Optional email types have separate preferences. Order, reply and account messages are essential by default, and customers cannot switch off essential types in the preference centre.

Can we add an unsubscribe request ourselves?

Yes. Your team can add an email address to the no-email list, select the types to stop and record a note. Existing entries are kept together by email address.

Does the activity log prove that an email was delivered?

It records whether the plugin allowed or suppressed a message and the category used. Delivery still depends on your email service; the log is not a delivery receipt.
