The right price for every weight

Price per kg, 100 g or gram

Enter prices in the unit you use, including small decimal values per gram. Calculate each line from the selected weight while keeping a consistent price basis.

Track stock in grams

Manage weighed stock independently from whole-item quantities. Choose whether to track weight stock and whether intentional overselling is allowed.

Control the weight choices

Set minimum sale weight, weight increment and default selection. Give shoppers a weight selector and a calculated price before adding the product to their basket.

Charge for the product, not its container

Enable tare support and a default tare weight, so the quote can distinguish the gross measurement from the net product weight being sold.

Online and All POS integration

Carry weight and pricing information into cart and order lines, or use the same weighed product with All POS. Physical scale integration belongs to the configured POS bridge.

Keep stock and refunds tied to the sale

Record the accepted weight and price with the order. Stock deductions and partial refunds follow the quantity sold, while unchanged stock fields preserve sales made during product editing.

A small price per gram still needs precision

A price such as £0.0035 per gram needs more precision than an ordinary whole-item price. The supported price bases calculate the sale from the selected net weight. Customers see a weight-specific quote before checkout, and the accepted weight stays with the order.

Keep the weight with the order

Each order retains the accepted weight and price, and stock movements follow the quantity sold. Partial refunds are limited to the recorded sale. If an administrator has a product form open during a sale, leaving its stock field unchanged preserves the newly reduced stock.

How it works

Start with one useful test.

  1. Configure the product

    Enable weight-based selling, choose the price basis and stock settings, then define minimum weight, increments and any tare.

  2. Quote the selected weight

    Customers choose a weight online, or staff use the All POS integration. The quote calculates the net weight and resulting price.

  3. Deduct the weight sold

    Carry the accepted weight and price into the order, update weighed stock and retain the sold quantities for any later partial refund.

Requirements

Native WooCommerce edition.

  • Plugin header minimum: WordPress 6.5+, PHP 8.1+ and WooCommerce 9.0+.
  • Use WordPress and PHP versions that meet the requirements of both this plugin and your installed WooCommerce version.
  • PHP OpenSSL and Sodium, plus transactional InnoDB native product/order/history tables, are required.
  • Measured checkout is for a single-store shop; an active Dokan installation blocks it. Physical scales require a compatible integration; All POS and its paired bridge are separate.
  • Tracked stock is held in whole grams. Unmanaged products use their native untracked semantics. Advanced exact-range/history operations require compatible native WooCommerce components and must be checked before a platform upgrade.

Getting started

  1. Open the native product editor, enable Sell by weight and choose price basis, minimum, increment, starting weight and tare. Configure its actual stock-owning product.
  2. Test fresh weight selection, signed pricing, checkout, payment and cancellation on a copy of the shop; do not change basket quantity independently of its signed weight.
  3. Test money refunds and physical returns separately, then verify stock/history. Pause measured products and finish outstanding work before disabling their owner.

Can I price per gram or per 100 grams?

Yes. Choose kilogram, 100 grams or gram as the price basis. The release supports precise decimal entry for small per-gram prices and tracks weighed stock in grams.

Will it work with any physical scale?

The online weight selector works without a scale. Physical-scale use requires All POS, a separately configured local bridge and compatible hardware. Check the device and test the weighing workflow before live use.

Do I need a physical scale for online orders?

No. Customers can choose a weight in your online shop without a connected scale. Add All POS and a compatible local bridge when you want to read a physical scale at the till.
