What it does

In plain words.

Let customers request a return or repair from their order, then handle the decision, receipt, inspection and refund as separate steps. Quantities and refund limits come from the original order, so the same item cannot be claimed twice. Refunds are completed through your payment provider and recorded with a verified reference.

Who it is for

A good fit for your shop?

  • Online shops handling returns, repairs and faulty goods claims
  • Teams separating customer service, warehouse and finance decisions
  • Retailers who need refunds to match the original order
What you get

From return request to verified resolution

Requests from the original order

Signed-in customers choose an order, the items and quantities, a reason and their preferred outcome. Staff can open a return from any store order, with prices and payments read from the store.

Routes that respect statutory rights

Publish return policies for change of mind, online cancellation, faulty goods, warranty and business purchases. Uncertain timing goes to staff review, and the portal explains that your policy does not replace statutory rights.

Inspect before anything goes back on sale

Record condition, accessories, serial or batch details and evidence for each returned unit. Inspected goods stay held until a second person approves the physical plan and its completion is recorded.

Refunds tied to what was paid

Plan the approved amount across the original payments, with discounts and tax shared out from the original order. Complete the refund with your payment provider, then record its verified reference.

Private photographs from customers

Customers can add JPEG, PNG or WebP photographs to a request. Each image is checked, stored privately and removed after 90 days.

Exchanges and closures with a clear trail

Link a replacement order with any extra payment or partial refund as tracked tasks. A case closes only when inspection and refund evidence are complete, unless a manager records an approved exception.

In practice

A partial return that still adds up

A customer returns two of five items bought with a discount code. The refund limit comes from the original lines, discount and tax, and the final unit absorbs any rounding so the total never exceeds what was paid. A second case cannot claim the same units.

In practice

Inspection keeps the shelf honest

A returned kettle arrives without its lid. Staff record the condition and missing accessory, and the unit stays held. A second person approves the plan, such as repair, supplier return or disposal, and the completed work is recorded before the case can close normally.

How it works

Start with one useful test.

  1. Publish your return policy

Set the routes, time windows and outcomes, and decide which uncertain cases need staff review.

  2. Review the request

Check the original order, approve or reject the case and record the goods when they arrive.

  3. Inspect and resolve

Record condition and the physical plan, complete the refund or exchange tasks and close the case with its evidence.

Requirements.

These details describe the Botble edition. Check the platform, services and equipment your shop uses.

  • Botble and WooCommerce use separate native packages. These requirements describe Botble; WooCommerce requirements are listed separately below.
  • The Botble edition requires Botble CMS 7.6.0 or later with Ecommerce active, plus All Operations Core, which is included in the download and installed first.
  • Refunds are completed with your existing payment provider and recorded here with a verified reference. Automatic provider refunds are not included.
  • The customer portal works with signed-in customer accounts. Guest verification codes are written to the shop's private mail log rather than emailed; use signed-in accounts for the customer portal.

Requirements

Native WooCommerce edition.

  • Package requirements: WordPress 6.5+, PHP 8.1+ and active WooCommerce.
  • Use WordPress and PHP versions that meet the requirements of both this plugin and your installed WooCommerce version.
  • Requires the All Operations Core WooCommerce edition, installed and activated first.
  • Refunds are completed with your payment provider and recorded with a verified reference; automatic provider refunds are not included. Guest verification codes need a configured mail service.
  • Use transactional InnoDB storage and working WordPress cron for evidence retention jobs.

Getting started

  1. Publish a return policy and open a test case from a real order on a copy of the shop.
  2. Record receipt and inspection, then plan and record a manual refund with a test reference.
  3. Check that stock and money stay unchanged until their separate steps are completed before opening the portal to customers.

Perpetual licences include 12 months of updates and support. After that, extend them a year at a time for £60 a year, whenever you like, even before the current year ends. Monthly and yearly plans always include updates and support.

  • Monthly is term use: the plugin, its updates and support for each month you pay for.
  • Yearly is the same term use paid in advance, at ten months' price for twelve months.
  • A perpetual licence is yours to keep. It includes 12 months of updates and support; afterwards you can carry on using every version you were entitled to, and extend updates and support a year at a time at the support rate (half the standard yearly price) whenever you want them.
  • One licence covers one live site and its linked staging site. Another live site needs another licence.
  • Buy more than one perpetual licence in the same checkout and the highest-priced plugin is charged in full, with 20% off each additional distinct plugin, worked out on the prices shown (launch prices while the offer runs).
  • Extend support for several perpetual licences together and the highest-priced extension is charged in full, with 20% off each additional one. Extending early adds a year to the end of your current cover; nothing renews automatically.
  • Prices include applicable VAT/sales tax and the support stated for your plan. GBP is the reference currency. Marketplace accounts, hosting, hardware and external API fees are separate. We add no payment processing surcharge.

Questions

Useful details before you choose.

The workflow, its limits and what is separate.

Still need a hand?
Does approving a return refund the customer?

No. Decision, receipt, inspection and money are separate steps. Plan the refund against the original payments, complete it with your payment provider and record the verified reference. The case shows as refunded only after that evidence is saved.

Will returned goods go back into stock automatically?

No. A refund never adds stock, and inspected goods stay held until their physical plan is approved and completed. Lot-tracked goods go back on sale through a reviewed release in All Batch and Expiry; other goods use your normal stock adjustment.

Can guests return items without an account?

Guest verification asks for the order reference and email, then checks a one-time code in the same browser. Codes are written to the shop's private mail log rather than emailed, so the customer portal requires signed-in accounts.

Can I record return labels and tracking?

Yes. Record your existing label reference, carrier and tracking details for each shipment. The plugin does not buy postage or contact a carrier.
